Willow Pace was established in 2018 by a group of families who recognized the need for respectful, comfortable residential living for seniors in northern Thailand. After witnessing their own loved ones struggle to find appropriate housing that balanced independence with daily support, they came together to create an environment where older adults could maintain their dignity while receiving the care and companionship they deserved.
Located in the peaceful city of Chiang Rai, our residence sits on grounds designed to evoke calm and connection to nature. The tropical gardens, shaded walkways, and comfortable common areas provide spaces where residents can relax, socialize, or simply enjoy the gentle rhythm of each day. We chose this location deliberately for its quiet streets, proximity to local markets and temples, and the warm character of the surrounding community.
Our approach centers on treating each resident as an individual with their own history, preferences, and routines. Rather than imposing a strict schedule, we provide structure through regular meals, housekeeping, and optional activities while allowing each person to shape their day in ways that feel comfortable to them. We understand that moving into a residential setting is a significant transition, and we work closely with families to make the process as smooth and reassuring as possible.
Over the years, Willow Pace has become home to seniors from diverse backgrounds, including retired teachers, business owners, artists, and civil servants. What they share is a desire for a safe, clean, and friendly place to live without the burdens of home maintenance or the isolation that can come with living alone. Our staff members are trained to be attentive without being intrusive, offering assistance when needed and respecting privacy at all times.
We take pride in fostering a sense of community among residents while honoring each person's need for personal space. Weekly gatherings, shared meals, and seasonal celebrations provide opportunities for connection, but participation is always a choice. Some residents prefer quiet time in the garden; others enjoy the conversation and camaraderie of the lounge. Both are equally valued.

Activities Coordinator
Niran designs and leads gentle activities that encourage social connection and mental stimulation, from morning stretches to cultural outings and creative workshops.
Anong Chaiwan
Head of Housekeeping
Anong and her team maintain clean, comfortable living spaces for all residents, handling laundry coordination, room care, and ensuring a welcoming environment throughout the property.

We honor each resident's right to privacy in their personal space. Staff knock before entering rooms, and personal information is kept confidential in accordance with Thai privacy regulations.

Willow Pace was founded on the understanding that senior living should not mean giving up independence or comfort. Many older adults find themselves in situations where daily tasks become burdensome, yet they are not ready for or in need of intensive care. Our residential model addresses this middle ground, providing practical support with meals, housekeeping, and property maintenance while allowing residents to maintain their routines, hobbies, and social connections.
Our team recognizes that each person brings a lifetime of experiences, relationships, and preferences to our community. We take time to learn about individual backgrounds, dietary likes and dislikes, preferred waking hours, and social comfort levels. This information guides how we interact with each resident, ensuring that our support feels helpful rather than intrusive. Whether someone prefers a quiet morning with tea in the garden or enjoys lively conversation in the communal lounge, we adapt our approach accordingly.
The physical environment at Willow Pace reflects our commitment to comfort and accessibility. Rooms are designed with adequate lighting, easy-to-reach storage, and simple layouts that reduce confusion and support safe movement. Common areas feature comfortable seating, natural light, and views of the gardens. Walking paths are level and well-maintained, with shaded areas and benches for resting. These design choices may seem simple, but they make a meaningful difference in daily life.
We also understand the importance of maintaining connections beyond our residence. Family visits are encouraged, and we help coordinate transportation for residents who wish to attend community events, visit nearby temples, or enjoy local markets. For those with mobility limitations, we work with families to arrange accessible outings. The goal is to support each person's continued participation in the broader community while providing a secure home base to return to.
